#TwestivalAB, a Very Memorable Event

We were very excited to participate in the preparation for Twestival Amman Beirut that took place last Thursday, the 25th. We had the chance to collaborate with great teams from Twestival Amman (@ammantwestival), ArabNet, and Twestival Beirut (@twestivalbeirut); namely @SanaTawileh, @sdarine, @mkhawaja, @kamelasmar, @Naeema, @eebz, @LucyHanna, and @hadinasereddin.

The Twestival gathered individuals from various backgrounds and cities in the region, all for the cause of education, through donations to the ‘World Concern’ humanitarian organization.

The schedule was composed of a very interesting presentation on the history of Twitter in general and in the region, and a humorous take on the do’s and don’ts of Twitter, as well as a tombola offering super interesting giveaways.

One of the very memorable moments of this event is the extremely generous donation made by @aramex (by @fadig in person!) to the fundraising event, enabling us to raise even more money for a cause so close the heart.

Here are a few pictures we brought back with us:

GeekFest Beirut 2010

gp-beirut-830

Telephone.com was glad to participate in GeekFest Beirut (@GeekFestBeirut) on February 5th.
The event took place in the wonderful atmosphere of Art Lounge and included a selection of presentations on the topics of social media, information and its evolution, 3D and the film industry, as well as environmental concerns and different ways of how to do your part.

The Telephone.com team was very pleased to be part of this event as it was the first of its kind in the country and generated a massive turn out of people from a variety of industries, all with a keen interest in technology and information. The crowd was very interactive with the presenters and we all indulged into live tweeting in order to update those who could not attend and were unfortunate to miss all the interesting stuff that was said.

Here’s what others had to say about #GeekFestBeirut:
